Timber Drift provides custom landscape architecture, site planning, and project coordination services throughout the Inland Northwest, specializing in luxury outdoor living, functional landscapes, and resilient design.
Every project begins with a consultation to understand your goals and the unique opportunities of your property. Our role is to translate that vision into a thoughtful master plan that is both beautiful and enduring. We believe outdoor spaces should feel like a natural extension of the home, creating places for entertaining, relaxing, connecting with nature, and enjoying everyday life.
Our approach combines careful site analysis with thoughtful planning, material selection, and planting design tailored to the Inland Northwest. We balance refined aesthetics with fire-resilient, water-conscious, and ecologically appropriate design principles to create landscapes that respond to both your lifestyle and the realities of our regional climate.
Inland Northwest landscapes need to do more than look good. They must respond to dry summers, seasonal weather, changing site conditions, and the long-term needs of the property. By considering these factors early in the design process, we create landscapes that feel intentional today and continue to provide value for years to come. Whether you're envisioning an active outdoor space for your family or a refined setting for entertaining, the goal is a landscape that feels distinctly yours and firmly rooted in its surroundings.
Inspired by nature and rooted in professional design, we help homeowners unlock the full potential of their outdoor spaces. We serve as an expert consultant and creative partner, combining thoughtful design, meticulous attention to detail, and clear, intentional communication. At Timber Drift, our goal is to create exceptional landscapes and lasting trust through a collaborative design process that begins with our very first conversation.

Project Coordination & Implementation Support
At the head of every Timber Drift project is Kris Krohn, owner and principal landscape architect. As a licensed professional with more than 20 years of experience, Kris personally leads every project, from the initial site analysis and master planning through design development and, when desired, construction-phase coordination.
Timber Drift operates as a specialized landscape architecture and consulting practice, providing homeowners with a consistent point of contact throughout the design and implementation process. By remaining involved as projects move from plans to construction, Kris can help communicate design intent, coordinate with contractors and other professionals, respond to field conditions, and provide guidance when decisions arise along the way. The result is greater continuity between the original vision and the landscape that is ultimately built.
